Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- Language: All submissions must be in English.
- Type: Data notes (2-5 pages), Shorts data reports (max 1500 words)
- Format:
- Manuscripts should be prepared in Word.
- Include a clear description of the dataset, variables, collection method, and ethics approval (if applicable).
- Provide a data availability statement and a link to the dataset in a public repository.
- Abstract: Maximum 250 words, with 3–6 keywords.
- Font and layout: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Heading: Use no more than three heading levels. Bold for main headings, italic for subheadings.
- Citation and References:
Citation style: JGTCM follows the Vancouver (numbered) reference style. In-text citations should appear as numbers in square brackets, e.g. [1], [2], [3], in the order in which they are cited.
Reference list: Provide the full reference list at the end of the manuscript in numerical order, matching the order of the citations in the text.
Examples:
Journal article – Smith J, Doe A. Title of article. J Clin Med. 2023;12(3):123-130.
Book – Brown P. Title of the Book. 2nd ed. London: Academic Press; 2021.
Website – World Health Organization. Title of page. Available from: URL. Accessed 15 Mar 2025.Initial submissions: JGTCM will provisionally accept any widely used reference style at first submission. However, if the manuscript is accepted, authors must convert their references to Vancouver style before final publication.
- Tables:
- Must be high-resolution and clearly labeled.
- Create tables using the word table function(not images).
- Number tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.) in order they appear in the text.
- Each table must have a brief and, if needed, explanatory footnotes below.
- Do not use vertical lines; use horizontal lines sparingly.
- Figures:
- Submit figures high-resolution(JPEG, PNG, or TIFF; minimum 300 dpi).
- Number figures consecutively(Figure 1, Figure 1, etc.) in order cited in the text.
- Each figure must have a descriptive legend placed below the figure
- Ethics: Authors must ensure originality of their work and proper citation of others’ work. Submissions are screened for plagiarism.
- Peer Review:
- All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
- We aim to provide an initial decision within 7–10 days for data notes, depending on reviewer availability.
- Reviewers assess clarity, ethical compliance, and re usability of the data.
- Open Access Policy: All articles are freely available under a Creative Commons license.
- Fees:
- No article-processing charges (APC) for regular publication.
- Optional “fast-track” publication may be offered for a small fee (to be announced).
